The Fairfield Free Press was started in 1992 by myself, Carla Barnhart. I moved to Lancaster, Ohio after the death of my father, Garland Barnhart. I was previously living in Charlotte, NC. and decided to move closer to my family members that lived in the areas of West Virginia and Ohio. I will scan and post the early editions of this paper. It was originally a "hand held" paper with cutting, pasting and printing in the original form. Publication has come a long way and is so much quicker and easier now.
